War2Observe Update and CDX-CA650X Hacked Auxiliary

I have yet to post much this Summer at all, this update is so that people know I am still alive and kicking. Since my last post on War2Observe, a lot has changed with the program. I have added an APM counter for the game, and it is displayed at the bottom right of the screen. However, I have not updated the War2Observe webpage for this, which I should.

Another thing for War2Observe is the icon. Guan-Yu had given me a great idea on what icon to use for War2Observe, and you will just have to wait and see what it is :).

In addition to my software hack, I've done a hardware hack as well.  It is for my Sony CDX-CA650X car radio/cd  player. The problem with it is that it does not have an auxialiary port.  I have an MP3 player, but I cannot listen to it in my truck. Since I am a very cheap person by nature, I've decided to see if there's a way I add one to my CDX-CA650X myself.

I removed my cd player from the dash and I saw an RCA  "Bus Audio In" in the back of the cd player. I was very happy at this turn of event, so I went straight to RadioShack to buy a male 8-mm headphone plug to male RCA ports. I went home, plugged it in…but I cannot reach the "AUX" menu inside of the CD player. Confused, I looked online and found that I was not alone in my troubles.

Apparently, Sony CDX cd players requires an unilink changer plugged into the back of the cd player to enable this Bus Audio In ports. This box costs nearly $100, which is way over my asking price. Naturally, I went another route and that's soldering things, but since I do not have the picture, that content is for another post. But the total cost for this is about $5 max if you have all the parts and I can listen to my MP3 player. The hack has some disadvantages and advantages, but you can decide for yourself when you read that post later.
