Still cannot cook

I have spent so much time on this stupid thing and it is still not working.  Last week, I spent a few days trying to diagnose what the problem is, and I still don't have a clue what is going on.  Although, I think I have narrowed it down to it being the electrical of the mobile home that I am living in.  I tried to get some help at doityourself.com, and still no luck yet.

I've also found out that the DC in my AC line is just ghosting and it could be anything.  I'll try to change my battery to see if it happens again, if it does, then it's a new multimeter for me :(.  Man, just more money out of my pocket .

I've found out that this house was wired with aluminum wires.  This is not good news for me since aluminum (aluminium) wires are easily corroded.  I've talked to a friend of mine yesterday and he gave me a good idea to test my circuit.  Although it is very dangerous, and I'm still trying to think of a way to do it so that it's safe.  Essentially, we've come up with a hypothesis about my problem.

The wiring is bad and it cannot draw enough current through the wire.  It can show a voltage difference, which is what I have been testing thus far, but it does not have the support to draw the power that it needs.  I'll be trying to connect a hair dryer to one of the leads and see if it can pull enough current.  If the wiring is bad, then one of the hot leads for the range will not be able to pull enough current to support the dryer.  I hope this works…
