Pizza Hut in Pullman, Washington

Welcome to another rant…

I am the event coordinator/public relations guy for the newly established ACM club here at WSU (Washington State University).  This coming Sunday March 2nd, we’ll have Mr. Charles Cox over to do a workshop on XNA.  Being the position that I am in, I needed to place some advance orders for pizzas for the event.  I stopped by their place at 4:50ish to order some pizzas for the coming Sunday at 11:25AM, after all the hassles of the employees not knowing how to do purchase orders, everything was "okay".  At 5:34PM, I received several phone calls from an unknown number.  Since I was in handbell choir (yes, you read that right) during the time, so I couldn’t pick up the phone.  At 6:00PM, I checked my voicemail and here’s the message that I received,

"Hi, this is delivery from Pizza Hut, do you still want your pizzas?"

LOL, how funny is that?  I called the number back, and the guy asked me if I "still wanted my pizza"!  I said, "I don’t quite understand what you mean, but I had ordered it to be delivered on Sunday, which is two days from today."  Then he said something about them screwing up the order, I said, could you fix it?  Of course they could, right?

Two hours later, I got home, went online to get Pizza Hut’s main phone number then called them to verify my order.  They asked me a few things to verify who I was, then he said, "okay, this order is to be delivered on Sunday 1:25PM".  LOL, what is going on?  I forgot to mention that when I placed the order, right before I left, I had verified with them the location and time.  They had it correct then.  I’m going to have to verify again one more time to make sure they have it correct.  But talk about a big annoyance huh?

UPDATE: I called up the Pizza Hut place just now, and it seems like they had everything correct…except one thing.  The building for some reason had been changed from Sloan to Orton Hall.  Good thing I called up twice, in two days otherwise the pizzas would have shown up at Orton Hall,1:25PM when we’re waiting for it at Sloan, 11:25AM.  Geez!
